Brevard Public Schools (BPS) is celebrating a historic milestone with the release of the 2024–2025 graduation data from the Florida Department of Education. The district achieved a record-breaking 92.7% graduation rate, the highest in its history, and a substantial increase from the previous year’s 89.8%. The district’s graduation rate also exceeds the new Florida state record of 92.2%, reinforcing Brevard’s reputation for academic excellence and commitment to student achievement.

Two schools—West Shore Jr./Sr. High School and Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School—earned a perfect 100% graduation rate, continuing their long-standing tradition of exceptional performance. Merritt Island High School, Satellite High School, and Viera High School also stood out, each surpassing 98%.
Superintendent Dr. Mark Rendell emphasized that the accomplishment reflects the efforts of the entire BPS community. “The graduation rate is one of the most powerful indicators of a school district’s success,” said Dr. Rendell. “While we often associate it with high schools, it reflects the work of our entire system—from kindergarten through senior year. Every teacher, every school contributed to this achievement, and all should take pride in reaching this historic milestone.”
