At Johnson Middle School, learning doesn’t stop when the bell rings. Before & after school the campus buzzes with clubs and teams that turn curiosity into discovery, classmates into teammates, and passions into lifelong skills. Whether your student is a budding engineer, an aspiring author, or a future community leader, there’s a place for them here.
Full STEAM Club: 🚀Design drones, code simple games, launch soda‑bottle rockets, and tinker in our makerspace under the guidance of science teachers. Hands‑on experiments blend science, tech, engineering, art & math—perfect for curious minds who like to build and test ideas.
Dungeons & Dragons: 🐲Adventurers gather weekly to craft characters, roll dice, and navigate epic quests that sharpen storytelling and critical‑thinking skills. Imagination runs wild, friendships form quickly, and every decision matters in the collaborative world they create.
E‑Sports Team: 🎮Compete in supervised, age‑appropriate tournaments (Rocket League, Marvel Rivals and Super Smash Bros.) using our high‑spec gaming PCs and Xbox Series S, while learning teamwork, strategy, and digital citizenship. Players channel their gaming passion into organized play and can even earn regional rankings.
Flag Football: 🏈Co‑ed squads practice /play twice a week, mastering plays and fundamentals before Fast‑paced action and inclusive rules let everyone take the field, build fitness, and show school spirit.
Yearbook: 📖Capture the year in photos and words—students learn photography, layout design, and journalism as they produce the annual keepsake. They get press‑pass access to events and leave their creative mark on campus history.
Student Government: 👩🎓Elected reps meet bi‑weekly to plan dances, service drives, and spirit weeks while voicing student concerns to administration. Leadership opportunities abound, and members see their ideas shape real school policy.
LEGO Robotics: 🤖Teams tackle FIRST LEGO League challenges—building, coding, and testing robots that solve themed missions on a competition board. It’s engineering with instant feedback: if the bot fails, redesign and try again!
Kindness Club: 💟Members organize positivity campaigns, write appreciation notes, and coordinate peer‑mentoring to foster an inclusive culture. Small acts, big impact—students see how empathy transforms the school climate.
National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)👨🎓Scholars committed to scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character coordinate tutoring sessions and community projects. Recognition for academic excellence plus meaningful service hours that make a difference.
