Chorus Auditions to sing at Disney by Ne'Asia Taylor

Ninth grader Constance Jean prepared for an important moment of her chorus journey–auditions to perform at Disney this December. The performance is one of Disney’s most cherished holiday traditions, featuring student choirs, a full orchestra, and celebrity narrators. For Jean, this audition is not just another school performance; it's a chance to showcase her talent on a professional level.

Only 50 students are chosen to participate, making this selection exciting and challenging. The Candlelight Processional is performed annually at EPCOT and it is considered a highlight of the holiday season. Jean understood the difficulty but was also grateful for the opportunity. “It's a competitive audition for starters, only 50 people can go,” she said. “That paired with the complexity of the songs makes it a challenge. I’d say it's been very rewarding so far.”

With rehearsals and dedication to her craft, Jean was determined to give her best performance. She viewed the audition as a steppingstone in her musical journey and a chance to grow as a performer. The experience had already taught her the value of hard work and perseverance. With her dedication and passion for singing. She hopes to inspire others with her passion for music remaining others to go for it and chase their dreams.
