Melbourne High JV Volleyball Stays Undefeated Behind Strong Teamwork by Brooke Johnson
The Melbourne High School Junior Varsity volleyball team had a great season. With a 5-0 record, the Bulldogs showed they could play tough and stick together on the court. Their wins brought a lot of excitement around the school, and the team worked hard to keep the momentum going.
A big part of their success came from how well they played as a team. Each game, they got better and found ways to win even the tough points. Coach Thompson said, “The girls are doing really well and they are working well with each other.” Floor captain Ashlynn Shack, a 9th grader, added, “I think we’re doing pretty well, we’re learning each other and playing together really well.” Their words showed just how much teamwork helped the Bulldogs stay undefeated.
With only a few games left, the JV team was ready to fight to keep their winning streak alive. Their energy, confidence, and teamwork had already made the season one to remember. No matter what happened next, they built a strong base for the future, and Melbourne’s JV volleyball team proved they were one to watch.

Playing libero for the JV team, Carter says, "The team is doing really well and we’re getting along. We’ve been learning how each of us plays individually and using that to function better as a team."
