New Guidance, New Goals by Ne'Asia Taylor-Torres
A new member has started in the guidance office: Ms.Tammie Christie. From the start she focused on helping students plan, grow, and succeed. Her goal was to make sure students met their emotional and educational needs. Ms Christie was excited to bring her care and experience to this school.
Before joining the staff, Ms. Christie attended Florida A&M University along with Nova University. This is where she prepared for her career in education. She understood the importance of helping students manage stress, plan for college, and stay on track for graduation. “I am really concerned for their [students] personal and educational goals, and I wish the best for what they do,” said Christie. Her compassion made her an awesome addition to the guidance team.
Ms. Christie believed that everyone defined success is their own way. “Success is measured by an individual who reaches their potential,” she said. She reminds students that success isn't about comparing yourself to what others have, it's about your personal best. With her amazing positive outlook, she wanted to strengthen the school’s mission to support and inspire every student to their potential.
