Students Get Creative for “Anything But a Cup/Backpack Day" by Paige Allen
Students at Mel high showed their creativity during spirit week. Students were challenged to bring their drinks, or school supplies in anything than they traditional backpack or water bottle. This spirit day was held to support school spirit and get ready for homecoming weekend.
One student Aliana Alvarado brought her drink in a spray bottle. She said she got the idea from a Tik Tok and thought it would be funny and unique. And addition to Alianna, Kyle McLaren also participated and brought a crate. Alianna shared that she found her spray bottle at target and enjoyed being a part of the school spirit that encouraged everyone to show there school pride. “Anything but a backpack/cup day” was a well talked about topic among many students. McLaren also brought a crate to join the spirit as shown in the picture. “School spirit is important,” McLaren said.
Many students found different easy to be a part of it and show their school spirit. Alvarado chose the spray bottle so she would stand out and do something funny. After Alvarado was interviewed she liked to mention her favorite spirit weekday was “Meme Day” Along with “Anything but a backpack/ cup day” Because both are funny and a way to see everyone show their school spirit and pride.
