Homecoming Spirit Week, Meme Day by Lily Hock
The dance wasn’t the only fun part of homecoming week! On the second day of spirit week, students dressed up as their favorite memes. Gabriella Stevens and Pia Mohrman dressed up as the popular meme “67” from Tiktok.
Spirit week was an exciting and fun way to spend the week leading up to homecoming with each day having its own theme. Monday was pajama day, Tuesday was meme day, Wednesday was through the ages, Thursday was anything but a backpack day, and Friday was school pride day. “It was a fun way for everyone to participate and get excited about homecoming,” Stevens said. She chose the meme “67” because she wanted to be it with her friend Pia. “It’s a saying from Tiktok and just kinda became funny,” Stevens said. Spirit week was also a good way to show school pride and spirit. She said, “I think it makes every day more fun and boosts everyone's mood leading up to homecoming” and “It brings everyone together to participate in something.”
