Every day in Marine Science, its filled with creativity, nature, and learning. Students spend their time mastering skills about the marine life that would help prepare them better the environment after high school. Between taking notes, dissecting animals, and taking tests, the classroom stayed busy with different activities. “It's always exciting and fun to learn something new everyday in class”, said freshman Kenley Harris.

“I wanted to join marine science because I wanted to learn more about the world around me”, said Harris. One main aspect of Marine Science course was how it encouraged fellow students to view the world in a different perspective as a Scientist rather than a normal person. Through many lessons on the marine ecosystem and human impact on the environment, Harris began to see the connection between daily life and the ocean environment.” Marine Science has impacted my life by me looking at the world in a different way and learning different ways to protect our environment,” said Harris.

After school, Harris continued studying marine science during the weekends and in her free time. She reviewed notes, completed assignments, and explored different topics discussed in class to improver her understanding of the marine ecosystem. Marine Science has provided her with different opportunities to expand her knowledge beyond school hours while also developing a apperection for the environment. After all, Marine Science provided students like Harris with opportunities to explore scientific concepts while building responsibility and dedication about the environment. “It's been exciting and great learning experience and would tell more people to join next school year”, said Harris.
