Two students, a freshman and sophomore, helped create a podcast that informed people how the popular fidget toys called Needohs can help students cope with stress in school. Madison Maringola and Anastasia Mijatovic worked together during the week to plan and record episodes. Maringola stated, “We came up with this idea since we always play with Needohs in class.” They wrote their script then recorded it on the computer.

The podcast aimed to give listeners information and reasoning. Maringola said, “We talked about the science behind Needohs and how they help us focus.” The team learned how Needohs help with stress and enjoyed creating the podcast. Mijatovic mentioned, “My favorite part of making the podcast was going outside to play with the Needohs.”

In Ms. Anderson's class, the students also did many writing activities such as character voices for their stories. Maringola explained, “We create characters and stories based on different genres in the class.” Mijatovic said “In this class, she usually gives us assignments everyday that we complete with groups or individually.” The students used a previous story they had written and expanded it to give the characters a voice. Mijatovic added, “Mine is about a mysterious door that is floating in the main character's room.”
