Practice makes perfect! AP Language Arts students took an AP style practice test to prepare for the real exam in May. It was meant to show them the types of questions and content they would see and help them manage their time. English teacher Courtney Boos helped students prepare with this and other tactics.

This class was important and for students and challenged them to improve their writing skills and literacy. Junior Piper Faherty said, “I decided to take AP Language and Composition to improve my writing skills.” With this being an Advanced Placement class, it is important students prepare for the challenging real exam. When asked how she felt about the practice test, Faherty said, “Since this was a full mock exam with the same amount of questions, essays, and time, this showed me exactly what it will be like on exam day.” Boos said it was important because, “Timing! This AP Test is a marathon.”

AP Language Arts and Composition is an important and challenging class that pushes students to improve their writing and literacy skills. To prepare for the exam in May, they took a practice test with similar content and the same structure. Boos has been teaching for 13 years and works to help students get ready for and do the best they can on the real test.
