Here at Melbourne High, students take SAT prep into their own hands. With SAT testing rolling in, majority of students have found it necessary to properly ready themselves. SAT’s are not to be taken for granted, as they give students important options. This is especially true for 11th grade student Jayla Hopkins.

Students should prioritize the month of February, to focus on their studies. Many students believe that studying ahead of time can give the needed confidence to take the SAT. An SAT is a standardized college admissions test in the U.S which measure students skills. Hopkins said, “Considering that these tests are being looked over by colleges, this is a test you do not wish to miss, or perform poorly on.” It is extremely important that students do not purposely fly through the questions and take their time. Hopkins said “This test is highly important for me, as I do plan on attending college.” While there are students whom may not plan on attending college, they should still at least try their best on the test. Hopkins said, “It is best to do your best on the test, as it automatically gives you more options just in case.” 

As Melbourne High juniors and seniors entered February, those looking to do there absolute best, had already been studying and following through with proper preparement. Students like 11th grade, Hayley Sampson. Sampson said “Beginning my studies as early as February has really helped me.” Prepping will ensure to students to perform well. Sampson said, “By the end of February, I will be ready to take on my SAT confidently.” Sampson said “I used to not care for studying, but once I mastered it I found it immensely helpful.” “Using online practice test, and studying where I needed improvement, really worked for me.”
