Sherri Bowman was employed by Brevard Public Schools in 1992 as a mathematics teacher at Eau Gallie High School. As a mathematics instructor Ms. Bowman taught grades 9-12 in every math class from Applied Mathematics to Pre-Calculus at Eau Gallie High School and then at Merritt Island High School starting in 1998.
Ms. Bowman’s administrative career includes serving as the Assistant Principal/ Dean at Melbourne High School for two years, the Assistant Principal for Curriculum at Kennedy Middle School, the Principal at Jefferson Middle School for seven years, the Central Area Coordinator for three years, the director of Core Curriculum in Secondary Leading and Learning for 6 years. She was appointed in her current position as Director – Secondary Schools in the Division of School Leadership under the Chief of Schools in September 2023. Ms. Bowman was recognized as the State of Florida Assistant Principal of the Year in 2006 while serving as the Curriculum Assistant Principal at John F. Kennedy Middle School.
Ms. Bowman received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Central Florida in Mathematics Education and her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

Lena Wiebelt has been an educator for more than 30 years. Twenty-seven of those years have been here in Brevard Public Schools as a teacher and counselor at Bayside High School, counselor at Southwest Middle School, dean of students at Satellite High School, assistant principal at Palm Bay Magnet High School, principal at Hoover Middle School and principal at Bayside High School.
Ms. Wiebelt received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education from the University of North Dakota, a Master of Science in School Counseling from Webster University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
Ms. Wiebelt has a passion for mentoring and sharing her learned experiences with others. She is grateful for the opportunity to guide principals everyday along their journey to enhance student learning and success.
